The second series of the opening day of the LPL 2019 Spring featured FPX with Doinb going up against his preious team, Rogue Warriors. FPX ultimately won in a 2:0 fashion against RW and this was the press conference after the fact.
Q: [To Doinb] What kind of expectations do you have for yourself this year? How are you meshing with your team?
Doinb: We're doing fine together. My goal is to participate in Worlds this year.
Q: [To Doinb] What is the biggest obstacle for Yasuo in this patch? What kind of tips can you give Yasuo players?
Doinb: I recommend not playing this Champion.
Q: [To Coach] How does it feel having won your first match of the LPL? What is the current form of the team and what is your goal for Spring Split?
Coach: Our form is average right now. This was our first match, and we didn’t participate in Demacia Cup, so our form is not perfect at the moment. I think we will be in good shape after 6 months. Our goal for Spring Split is to go to finals.
Q: [To Doinb] Congrats to Doinb for taking the MVP, how does it feel? You were able to use Yasuo to get such an advantage, can you talk about why you decided to pick this Champion?
Doinb: I'm very happy to get the MVP. I picked Yasuo because I am good with him.
Q: [Coach] We are currently playing on Patch 9.1, what do you think is the most important thing about the early game right now?
Coach: The most important thing is Jungle pathing and laning ability. The Jungler has a huge influence on the team.
Q: [To Doinb] How have your hand recovered recently? Does it affect your form?
Doinb: The same as before, it will for sure affect my practice. However, don't worry about it.
Q: [To Doinb] Having brought out your signature Kled, what tier would you place him in? Which Champions would you put at the top right now?
Doinb: Kled is not an S-tier Champion. Depending on our composition, if it is suitable, I can pick him.
Q: [Coach] Who in FPX do you think performed the best? Is the team playing well together? Are you confident in your next away match against Snake? What are your chances to win?
Coach: Our Jungler had the best performance today because his early pathing was pressuring the enemy. He is a very new player, he played very well today, so I am very satisfied with his performance today. I am very confident in our upcoming game in Chongqing, I would say we have a 90% to win. However, due to my health condition, my assistant coach will take my place in doing the Bans and Picks.
Q: [To Doinb] Both teams were teamfighting in game 2, what did you think won you the game?
Doinb: The most important factor was my Kled, and I played very well in the last team fight.
Q: [To Tian] We saw quite a bit of Sejuani today, what are her strengths in 9.1?
Tian: Sejuani got buffed and is very good when paired with bruisers, so I would say she is a Tier 1 Champion.
Q: [To Gimgoon] Why did you pick Urgot twice today?
Gimgoon: There was no thought behind it, the Coach told me to pick him.
Q: [To Doinb] How do you feel about winning your first game on FPX against your old team?
Doinb: Not much, as long as I win, I’m happy.
Q: [To Lwx] What was the communication like after you were behind in the early game of game 2?
Lwx: As long as we don’t stand together and get poked out, we would win. Our team composition has more advantage in the late game.
Q: [Coach] How would you rate your games today? Having come from the LMS, what are the stylistic difference between the regions?
Coach: I would give our team a 6/10 today. We played well early but fed a lot late game. The main difference is the players are not too familiar with each other yet and will need more time. The players are very talented.
Q: [To Lwx] There are many rumors online of how strong you are, what do you think you guys are the strongest in?
Lwx: I don’t think we are very strong, they are just rumors.
Q: [To Coach] Did you practice with the turret plating in mind? How would you rate everyone's performance today?
Coach: Yes, because plating offers extra gold before 14 minutes, it’s very important for laning, so we practiced our laning a lot.
