When it comes to E-sports, it's not always about the gaming aspect of things. The efforts of a majority of the experience presented for the viewers are rooted in all sorts of back-ended negotiations and contracts that would never cross your mind. As a result, the LPL has announced the fruits of these deals, presenting their official partners going into the 2019 year of the LPL competitive region. The LPL will be working with the leading partner, Mercedes-Benz, KFC, Warhorse (energy drink company), Hupu (Sports media), Alienware, Doritos, RedMagic (smartphone), L'Oreal Men, GuLiDuo (soy drink), and DXRacer.
These sponsors will work with the LPL and its organizations to effectively contribute to a greater viewing experience for the Spring Split, where 16 teams will compete to play in the playoffs and subsequently a spot to represent the LPL at the upcoming international event.
Mercedes-Benz
This sponsor needs no introduction, they have been a partner for the LPL for 3 consecutive years and will continue to act as the leading partner moving into 2019 with their GLA SUV accompanying fans all the way.
KFC
As an organization that has cheered on the LPL through 2018 Worlds, KFC will continue to cheer on the LPL in 2019. Their slogan sums up to something to the effect of “Friend chicken in your left hand while you grab victory with the other. Let's enjoy the taste of Victory together with KFC”
Warhorse
Warhorse is an energy-based vitamin drink that will use their energy to sponsor both the LPL and EDG. They will accompany E-sports fans, acting as the “7th item” and providing an “energy buff”.
Hupu
Hupu is one of the biggest online sports platforms in China and will provide a number of diverse services and content for all that loves League of Legends.
Alienware
Alienware is not a stranger as a sponsor to League of Legends and to all gamers out there. They strive to create the highest performing PC products for players with the most futuristic design.
Doritos
Doritos will continue to be a sponsor of the LPL. Their slogan is “Eat while watching, giving you more energy and nourishment, it's crispy and delicious!”.
Nubia RedMagic
RedMagic is a brand that produces smartphones and currently has released two models that are E-sports focused. Their Mars model is designed for E-sports players, with one of the fastest processors, large internal storage and 2 “shoulder” buttons that will help you master every (mobile) game.
L'Oreal Men
L'Oreal Men are on their second consecutive year as a sponsor to the LPL. They are committed to providing quality and cost-effective skin care solutions for men around the World.
GuLiDuo
GuLiDuo is a soy drink that has been with the LPL for season 7, 8 and now 9.
DXRacer
DXRacer is an innovative PC chair brand that will continue their partnership with the LPL for its 3rd year. They have been established as a company loved by all gamers around the world and this time, they are releasing new designs including their new RGB backlit chair.
In the past, League of Legends E-sports have diversified their branding to incorporate with different industries covering IT, finance, traditional sports, electronic products and automobiles. With the arrival of 2019, the LPL will work with these partners to bring more excitement to their viewers!
