Q: This is your first game of the Tournament, how are you and your team feeling?

Interviewee: We’re mostly relieved because from previous experiences we have always faltered in the first game and the rest of the groups becomes an uphill battle. It’s a big relief to have a win on the board so that it would be ok even if we lose to IG tomorrow. We are more at ease than previously and will use that to our advantage in the long run.

Q: So your team composition today is more AD focused, how was this team comp decided on?

Interviewee: We felt like they didn’t have enough tanks to be impacted by the fact that we are full AD. When we saw the graves, even if Ornn and Alistar were to get super tanky, the goal of our comp is not to kill them anyways so we can ignore them and go for the backline. So we thought they made a mistake by drafting Graves so we picked the Irelia into Syndra.

Q: We saw EU performed very well yesterday, why do you think that is?

Interviewee: It’s hard to say whether everyone (EU) will make it out of Groups or not, I think both wins were because both teams were playing comfortably. You have to ignore the Meta, ignore what everybody else is doing and do what you’re good at. In G2’s case it was the Heimerdinger and Vitality’s case it was playing Ekko and splitpushing, and the backdooring as well that’s something they’ve done multiple times in Europe. As long as we keep doing that we’re gonna get wins but I don’t think it will be enough in the long run. Once you run into the best teams, AFS and Gen. G are not bad by any means, I think it just won’t hold up. Against a team like RNG, it won’t hold up.
