Warning! A bunch of misclicks is incoming!
We have to admit, there has been a bit too many misclicks recently in LPL games. Yes it’s a rather prevalent legacy here, so here are some that have happened rather recently.
Don't try to E + Flash
The day before yesterday, we saw FPX's Tian E + Flash as Elise by mistake and in yesterday's LPL game against RNG as seen in the GIF below. IG's JackeyLove took it even further. He actually tried to surrender in an official match! From TheShy's Pro View camera, we can see that JacekyLove started a surrender vote and TheShy even accepted it! According to Riot's rules, it is prohibited to surrender in an official game, so what was on JackeyLove's mind at the time?

Then try something more thrilling?
Turns out it was another misclick according to his explanation on Weibo today: "The surrender was a misclick when I was about to take a look at my settings in Game 3. TheShy clicking ‘Yes’ in the vote was just for fun. No worries! I was really concerned it would be really FUN if everyone else had accepted it." At the end of the Weibo post, he didn't forget to praise his new teammate Forge with a meme image of Banana Wolf (whom fans think Forge looks similar to), who did a great job in yesterday's game and even be awarded as MVP in the last game.

It will cost you the game
Veteran midlaner Xiye is known to be many things, but making great facepalm misclicks usually isn’t one of them...until recently. Earlier this Summer, WE's midlaner Xiye also had a misclick on his Zhonya which cost them the game. It is arguably the most untimely, most facepalm worthy misclick so far this Split (or the most enjoyable one if you are an LNG fan?) and the aftermath of the misclick is that WE failed to secure any match win until they met EDG last week.

A Deft cosplay?
Coincidentally, just as this article was being written, another misclick caught me off guard. During today's LPL match between LNG and LGD, LNG's AD carry Asura misclicked his Teleport and gave an easy kill to their opponent, burning his precious Summoner Spell as well. According to Asura, he thought he took Heal instead of Teleport. You hate to see that eh? He was luckier than Xiye though, for his team still managed to take the win despite that mouth dropping blunder.

As neutral observers (well, as neutral as our office can be anyways), we have to say sometimes misclicks might make you shout “What are you doing???” at your screen but for us, it’s an excellent tension breaker. Like JackeyLove’s surrender vote for example. It adds much needed variety and entertainment to the esports scene.
We just hope our LPL teams don’t have too much fun with these misclicks in the upcoming international tournaments!
